Viking Bank is seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Banker with agriculture experience to join our team in Alexandria and Ashby. Position summary and primary responsibilities:
- Meet with customers to build relationships and help them meet their financial goals through listening and providing solutions that meet their needs.
- Perform all activities related to Business Banking by developing new relationships as well as managing an existing portfolio.
- Cross sell other bank products and services to meet the financial needs of customers and make referrals to other team members as appropriate.
- Managing credit risk in a manner consistent with Bank lending policy and practices by properly underwriting, structuring, and documenting business and agricultural loans.
- Properly underwriting, structuring, and documenting commercial loans.
- Maintain strong working knowledge of bank products and services.
- Represent the Bank through active participation in community events to increase the Bank’s visibility and enhance new business opportunities.
- Meet financial needs by making fast local decisions to develop long lasting relationships

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Agriculture, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in business / agriculture management.
- Strong understanding of agricultural economics, farm operations, or industry-specific risks.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and assess credit risk effectively.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders.
