Viking Bank is seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Banker with agriculture experience to join our team in Alexandria and Ashby. Position summary and primary responsibilities:

• Meet with customers to build relationships and help them meet their financial goals through listening and providing solutions that meet their needs.
• Perform all activities related to Business Banking by developing new relationships as well as managing an existing portfolio.
• Cross sell other bank products and services to meet the financial needs of customers and make referrals to other team members as appropriate.
• Managing credit risk in a manner consistent with Bank lending policy and practices by properly underwriting, structuring, and documenting business and agricultural loans.
• Properly underwriting, structuring, and documenting commercial loans.
• Maintain strong working knowledge of bank products and services.
• Represent the Bank through active participation in community events to increase the Bank’s visibility and enhance new business opportunities.
• Meet financial needs by making fast local decisions to develop long lasting relationships

Job Type: Full-Time (Salaried)

Work Location: Alexandria and Ashby, MN

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Agriculture, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in business / agriculture management.
• Strong understanding of agricultural economics, farm operations, or industry-specific risks.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and assess credit risk effectively.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders.

Marketing and Brand Ambassador

A newly developed position – this role will assist in driving our overall marketing efforts by helping with strategic planning, creating advertising for products and promotions, and assisting with community events. This position will also create supporting pieces and collateral and help maintain marketing assets.

Position summary and primary responsibilities:

• Enhance and grow our brand as a community-focused bank that helps meet financial needs by building long-lasting relationships.
• Create content for both online and printed marketing materials.
• Monitor and manage all social media content.
• Be our point of contact with the radio stations and help them create content for radio ads and promotions.
• Manage promotional merchandise.
• Monitor local bank competitors for product offerings, advertising strategies, pricing, etc.
• Create content and manage the bank’s digital signage.
• Schedule, coordinate and assist with photo and video shoots for bank advertising.
• Assist with event planning and participation in community projects, golf events, parades and other community events.

Job Type: Full-Time (hourly)

$20 - $28 an hour

Qualifications:

• Associates or Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or journalism preferred.
• 1 plus years of marketing experience in marketing field (2 plus years of experience in marketing preferred).
• Graphic design experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Photoshop, Microsoft Office, Social Media Platforms, Google Analytics.
• Search Optimization (SEO) a plus.
• Strong proofreading skills.
