The successful candidate will take the lead in developing and implementing design and marketing across various channels, including digital, social media, and print.

This position combines creativity and strategy to develop and manage design and marketing efforts across digital, social media, print, event, and radio channels, enhancing our brand, values, and vision. This position also assists with bank event planning and coordination.

Position Duties:

  • Content Creation: Develop engaging and relevant content for various platforms, including print, social media, radio, and website.
  • Graphic Design: Design and create visually appealing and brand-consistent graphics for digital and print materials, social media content, web design elements, and related campaigns.
  • Brand Management: Maintain and enhance the visual identity of the brand across all marketing materials.
  • Creative Support: Collaborate with the leadership and sales teams to bring fresh ideas to create effective strategies, presentations, proposals, and other sales materials that align with marketing efforts and ensure consistency in brand messaging.
  • Market Research: Conduct market research to stay up to date on industry trends and competitor activities to inform marketing strategies.
  • Project and Budget Management: Oversee marketing projects from concept to completion, ensuring they meet deadlines, stay within budget and align with core values and strategic focus and manage promotional materials and merchandise.
  • Event Marketing and Coordination: Plan, create, and distribute promotional materials for bank events and programs. Assist with event planning and participation in community projects, community events, parades and employee events.

Salary: Commensurate with Experience

Education & Experience:
  • AA or BA degree in Graphic Design, Marketing or related field (relevant experience can substitute for education)
  • Competency in graphic design for digital and print
  • Experience in marketing, with a focus on sales and budgeting
  • Excellent writing and copywriting skills
  • Experience with content marketing and print advertising
  • Experience with social media management
  • Strong research skills and ability to analyze data
  • Experience with budgeting and ROA analysis
  • Experience with Adobe creative suite, especially InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop
  • Knowledge of Google Analytics
  • Computer proficiency with Microsoft (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and Internet application
  • Strong understanding of SEO and its role in marketing campaigns

Viking Bank is seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Banker with agriculture experience to join our team in Alexandria and Ashby. We are a reputable bank dedicated to providing exceptional service and tailored financial solutions to our clients in the business and agricultural sectors. Position summary and primary responsibilities:

  • Meet with customers to build relationships and help them meet their financial goals through listening and providing solutions that meet their needs.
  • Perform all activities related to Business Banking by developing new relationships as well as managing an existing portfolio.
  • Cross sell other bank products and services to meet the financial needs of customers and make referrals to other team members as appropriate.
  • Managing credit risk in a manner consistent with Bank lending policy and practices by properly underwriting, structuring, and documenting business and agricultural loans.
  • Properly underwriting, structuring, and documenting commercial loans.
  • Maintain strong working knowledge of bank products and services.
  • Represent the Bank through active participation in community events to increase the Bank’s visibility and enhance new business opportunities.
  • Meet financial needs by making fast local decisions to develop long lasting relationships

Job Type: Full-Time (Salaried)

Work Location: Alexandria and Ashby, MN

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Agriculture, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in business / agriculture management.
  • Strong understanding of agricultural economics, farm operations, or industry-specific risks.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and assess credit risk effectively.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders.
